Modern dance allows creative freedom and personal expression, combining musical theatre, contemporary and lyrical Dance styles. 

Physical storytelling utilising a language of movement; from high kicks and split leaps through to floor work and group lifts combine to form this ever developing dance style.

Our classes develop technical skill & flexibility while introducing ever new choreography allowing dancers to gain the experience of moving in a variety of ways.

Students develop their skills focused towards our annual show. Performance pieces are varied showing skills in musical theatre (with singing), lyrical and contemporary Dance styles. 

At FFD no formal exams are taken, we assess and progress our students in house. From steps to splits. Tots to teens. 

Our unique teaching approach gives our students a skilled and developed Modern foundation in an approachable way.

Our students become strong technical dancers whilst maintaining enjoyment and most important, explore expression through this empowering form of dance. 

FFD teaching Modern to students from ages 4 to 18, in both Chester and at our Ellesmere Port studio.
